The song's lyrics were written in the far north of Germany at a friend's home watching the sunrise. The music and melody was composed and recorded at the Pandrup Church in Denmark during the same session as "Talking Trees" by Cecilie Beck. The band brought it into Kaiser Base Studios in Berlin and finished the song.
